      Samuel Eiduson

      EIDUSON, Dr. Samuel Emeritus Professor of Biological Chemistry and Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles passed away June 19, 2007 at the age of 88. Sam is survived by his wife Myrna, his brothers Sidney and Hyman, his son David and two grandchildren. He is also survived by Myrna's children, Judith, Jeffery (his wife Connie), and Janet Greenberg as well as two grandchildren. The Brain Research Institute(BRI) at UCLA recently celebrated the 15th Annual Samuel Eiduson Lecture established in his honor to recognize an outstanding graduate student. Sam not only made irreplacable contributions to his field and the UCLA Neuroscience community but was also a person of great dedication, intregrity and kindness. A celebration of his life will be held at the UCLA Faculty Center on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
