Grampa's parents were known to the the family as Moses Emond & Mary Ann Paquette. Their great grand children knew Mary Ann, and though she was quite old, none of them believe she was over 100 yrs. old. This is the Census info I have found so far: 1871 Ontario C-9998 Frontinac #65 sub C Village of Garden Island Moses Emond 43 wife Sophia 37 children Moses 12, Marilla 6, Stephen 3 1891 Ontario T-6337 Glengary #65 Lancaster Div 3 Joseph Emond 34 wife Mary 27 children Joseph 6, Frank 4, Sophie 3, and Sophie 54 ,widow, mother of Joseph I think the 1871 Moses and Sophia are the missing generation and their son, Joseph Moses is the one who married Mary Ann Paquette.
