      01:00 AM EST on Sunday, February 15, 2004
      IRENE M. ROUSSEAU, 89, formerly of King Philip Street, a retired seamstress,
      died Thursday at Catholic Memorial Home.
      She was the former wife of the late Normand Rousseau. Born in Fall River, a
      daughter of the late Wilfred and Emma (Fortin) Emond, she was a lifelong
      resident of the city.
      Mrs. Rousseau had been a seamstress at several textile mills for many years
      before retiring, and was a member of the International Ladies Garment
      Workers Union, now UNITE.
      She was a former communicant of Notre Dame Church, and the former Blessed
      Sacrament Church.
      She leaves three sons, Conrad A., Richard L. and Maurice H. Rousseau, all of
      Somerset; a sister, Marie Paquette of Swansea; three brothers, Paul Emond of
      Fall River, Raymond Emond of Somerset and Normand Emond of Deltona, Fla.;
      and 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the
      late Leo, Lucien, Vincent, Francois, and Sister Rita Marie Emond, RJM,
      Concorde Savage and Bella Boissonneau.
      The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. from Boule Funeral Home, 615
      Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in Notre Dame Church, Eastern
      Avenue. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
