      01/06/2003 SOUCY, GERTRUDE - At the "Villa du Repos" nursing home, Moncton, January 3, 2003, Mrs. Gertrude Soucy, formerly of Saint-Leonard, passed away at the age of 86 years. She was the wife of the late Romeo E. Soucy. Born at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in 1916, she was a daughter of the late Jean and Nelida (Violette) Tardif. She is survived by three sons, Elmer (Alberte) and Donald (Carole) of Saint John and Norman (Priscilla) of Cambridge Narrows, three daughters, Sister Gemma Soucy, s.g.m., of Montreal, Rolande (Guildor Ouellette) and Annette (Luc Lavallee) of Moncton, 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother, Alderic Tardif (Celine), as well as nieces and nephews. Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 Saint-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 8th at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church, with Father Ernest Dumaresq officiating. Interment will be in the Saint-Leonard cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls. www.oregans.ca
