      SOUCY, LEOPOLD - Friday morning, May 21, 2004, Leopold Soucy of Saint-Leonard passed away at Edmundston Regional Hospital. He was married to the former Regina Desjardins. Mr. Soucy was retired from Canada Customs. He was a frequent contributor to the editorial pages of the Telegraph-Journal. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Marc Roy. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Louis (Andrea) of Cavendish, P.E.I. and Etienne (Tina) of Dieppe, six daughters, Guylaine Roy and Lise Roy (Yvan) of Saint-Leonard-Parent, Chantal Bernier (Denis) of Saint-Leonard, Michelle Wallace (Joseph) of Saint-Basile, Marie Soucy (Earl Ward) of Bathurst and Helena Soucy (Steve Simon) of Saint-Lambert, Quebec, 23 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Theophane of Notre-Dame -de-Lourdes, Leona Deschenes of Wallaceburg, Ontario, Guy (Gisele) of Val Belair, Quebec, Hermil (Geralda) of Montreal, Gerard (Claire) of Saint-Leonard, Jean-Eudes (Bernadette) of Quebec, Gisele Charette of Fort Kent, Maine, Jacinthe Soucy, Marcel (Marie-France) and Mariette Soucy of Montreal, as well as nieces and nephews. Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 Saint-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard with visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. His funeral will be held Monday, May 24th at 4 p.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church, with interment in the Saint-Leonard cemetery
