Looking for any info on family of Alexander Amo/Emond/Eamo and his wife, Gertrude(Jane) Brassard. They lived in Cornwall area of Stormont Co.Ont.and the family was listed on the 1851 census. Alex Eamo b.Can. age 50, Jane 39, John 22 Thomas 20, Ferdinand 16, Alexander 10, Felix 18, William 5, Jane 18, Maargaret 16 and Ellen 2. As far as I know, Thommas Emmo, a blacksmith age 31 was listed in the 1861 Osnabruck census, as well as Catherine 23, John 7 and Eleanor 1-remaining in the Cornwall area. Ferdinand was listed as well, as a showmaker, and William went to Cardinal. All others went to Ogdensburg, NY area; Alex Jane I believe , along with John, Alexander, Felix, Jane , Margaret and Ellen. Ellen married Charles Lalonde and young Jane married Alex Bissett. I am looking for the parents of Alexander Emond(AMO) and Gertrude(Jane) Brassard and where they were from and any other pertinent info. Your help would be most gratefully appreciated.
