Diana L. (Soucy) Esile, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Willimansett Center West. Diana was born in Nashua, NH on August 19, 1920 a daughter of the late Pierre and Alvine (Landry) Soucy. She was educated in St. Aloysius Catholic Schools. Diana spent time taking care of her family during high school and also worked for many years at a shoemaking factory in Nashua. In 1942 she married Joseph Esile and moved to Holyoke, MA. Diana worked for National Blank Book and later worked for Ampad Corp. retiring in 1984 all the while raising her family of five children. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and two beloved children, Gloria and Peter Esile. Diana's faith, values and courage are an inspiration to all her family and will forever be present in their lives. She will be missed dearly by two sons, Joe Jr. and his wife Elaine Esile of West Springfield; Frank Esile of Chicopee; a daughter, Angela Esile of Holyoke and a sister, Yolande Brierre of Nashua, NH. Diana will forever be remembered by her six grandchildren, Michelle Esile, Joseph Esile III, Laura Cieplik, Jennifer Esile, Elizabeth Warren, Michael Chunyk; her three precious great grandchildren, Gavin, Avery and Sterly. Diana was also predeceased by four brothers, Camille, Leo, Gerry and Henry. Visiting hours for Diana will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 5-7 PM at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Her funeral ceremony will begin on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 8:45AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Cross Church, Holy Cross Ave., Holyoke. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hadley Rd., South Hadley, MA 01075.
