Marcia, I believe that the John Amo and Catherine Gokey you mention are Jean-Baptiste Hemond who married Catherine Gauthier Oct 18, 1836 in St. Ignace, Coteau du Lac, Soulanges, Quebec. Jean-Baptiste Hemond was the son of Louis Emond/Hemond and Genevieve Gareau. Catherine Gauthier was the daughter of Amable Toussaint Gauthier and Catherine Prieur.
