Madeline L. Soucy, 77
Madeline Lorilda Soucy, 77, of Ivy Terrace, Tupper Lake, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born March 14, 1923 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Frank J. and Marceline M. (Tremblay) Facteau. She attended local schools.
On December 21, 1941 she married Gordon C. Soucy in Tupper Lake. Mr. Soucy passed away in 1995.
Mrs. Soucy was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, a member of the V.F. W. Post 3120 Auxiliary, the St. Anne Society, and the Adirondack Adult Center.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard Williamson of Brea, CA; one son, William and his wife Diane of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Clark of Whitesboro, NY and her dear friend, Walter Maroun.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years; two sisters, Elizabeth McMahon and Bernadette Belmore, and six brothers, Villa, Frank, William, Roy, Alfred, and Albert Facteau.
Calling hours for Mrs. Soucy were held Friday, Sept. 8 at the Richer Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake with Fr. Joseph Wheelock officiating. Burial followed in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Mrs. Soucy's name are asked to consider the Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad or the Adirondack Medical Center ICU.
