      NEW PORT RICHEY, FLA. and FORT KENT - Rev. D.
      Wilfred Soucy, 97, died Dec. 4, 2000, at a New Port
      Richey, Fla. hospital. He was born in Fort Kent, May 27,
      1903, the son of Dennis and Dorumene (Pelletier) Soucy.
      The Rev. D. Wilfred Soucy was ordained in the priest hood
      in Fort Kent, June 29, 1930. As a priest, he was the former
      pastor of the following catholic churches in Maine, Holy
      Family Roman Catholic Church of Daigle, St. Louis Roman
      Catholic Church of Fort Kent, St. Louis Roman Catholic
      Church of Limestone, St. David's Roman Catholic Church of
      Madawaska, St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Presque
      Isle, St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church of Sinclair, St.
      Agatha Roman Catholic Church of St. Agatha, and St.
      Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church of Westbrook. The Rev.
      Soucy is survived by several nieces and nephews and his
      long time confidante and housekeeper for 17 years, Mrs.
      Florence Trafton of New Port Richey, Fla. Reception of the
      body will be held at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church of
      Fort Kent, 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec.10, 2000, followed by
      viewing until 7 p.m. The wake will resume 9-9:45 a.m.
      Monday, Dec. 11, at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial
      will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at the church, with
      Bishop Joseph Gerry, O.S.B. officiating. Spring burial will be
      held May 15, 2001, in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort
      Kent.
