Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Ernest and Antoinette (Cournoyer) Hemond, he had been a resident of the West Day Whiting Street Group Home in Cranston for many years. Mr. Hemond is survived by a sister, Cecile M. Doyon of Smithfield; a brother, Roland Hemond of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held tomorow, at a time to be announced, in Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Smithfield. Cremation will be in Blue Hills Crematory, Smithfield. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
