      SOUCY, Edwin, 71
      EAGLE LAKE - Edwin Soucy, 71, beloved husband of
      Theresa (Pelletier) Soucy, died Nov. 14, 2000, at his
      residence. He was born in Eagle Lake, Aug. 4, 1929, the
      son of Alfred and Laura (Ouellette) Soucy. Edwin will be
      dearly missed by his family and friends. He was a member of
      the K of C Council No. 8729, the American Legion Post
      No. 176, Catholic Order of Foresters No. 1357, all of Eagle
      Lake and the VFW Lozier O'Grady Post 9609 of Fort
      Kent. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during the
      Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. Before his illness,
      Edwin was an active parishioner taking part in many activities
      at St. Mary's Catholic Church and a volunteer fireman in
      Eagle Lake. He was employed as a construction worker in
      Connecticut and upon returning to the valley, he worked at
      Northern Maine General Hospital and Pinkham Lumber. In
      addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by six
      children, Barbara and her husband, Leo "Buzz" Labbe of
      Standish, Ron and Margeret of Eagle Lake, Russell and his
      wife, Connie of Eagle Lake, John and his wife, Jenny of
      Wallagrass, Ann and her husband, Jamie Madore of Eagle
      Lake, Paul and his wife, Jennie of Eagle Lake; eight
      grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrea Labbe, Tyler, Jillian,
      Kurt, Michael, Alicia and Ashlie Soucy; two sisters, Loretta
      Tiadora of Bristol, Conn. and Jeannette Bossie of North
      Berwick; two brothers, Fred and his wife, Shirley Soucy of
      Enfield, Conn. and Donald and his wife, Nancy Soucy of
      Plainville, Conn. In addition to both his parents, he was
      predeceased by one brother, Roger Soucy; and one sister,
      Rolande Collin. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau
      Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 5-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.
      Saturday until time of departure for Eagle Lake. A Mass of
      Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St.
      Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. James
      Albert officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Those
      who wish may donate to the Edgar J. (Guy) Paradis Cancer
      Fund/Northern Maine Medical Center, 143 E. Main St.,
      Fort Kent, 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral
      home.
