AMESBURY -- Julia G. (Giragosian) Soucy, a resident of Amesbury since 1964 and winter resident of Florida passed away on
March 2, 2010, at the age of 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Soucy, Jr. who predeceased her in 1994.
She was born on June 9, 1922, in Lowell, a daughter of Garabed and Elisabeth (Sarkisian) Giragosian.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an executive secretary for Diamond Taxi in Lowell.
Julia was a devoted and highly accomplished golfer and for 12 years organized scorers for the LPGA. She was also known for her
culinary skills and often offered her services as a caterer. She enjoyed spending winters at her home in Rotunda West, Florida.
Julia is survived by her son, Thomas Soucy III and his wife, Cheryl of Wayne, NJ; and her daughter, Greta Paulhus and her
husband, Edward of North Conway, NH. She also leaves a sister, Irene Guregian; four grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Anne Allard and Patricia Marzbanian, and a brother, Charles Giragosian.
