      AGE: 66 • Parlin

      Theodore "Ted" Burzawa, 66, of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away Saturday August 24, 2013 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Wieldflekin, West Germany he had resided in South River then Lebanon, Conn before moving to Parlin for the past 15 years. Before his retirement he was employed as a quality control technician for Phelps Dodge in Lebanon, Conn. Ted was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, was an avid fisherman and a communicant of Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in South River.

      He is predeceased by his father Walter Burzawa. Surviving are his children and their spouses Christopher & Annie Burzawa of Conn, Anya & Paul Soucy of North Carolina and Theodore Burzawa of Conn, his grandson Benjamin Soucy, his mother Anya Burzawa of Parlin, his sister Helena De Boer and her husband Ronald of Bayville, his brother Stanley Burzawa of Parlin, his nephew Jason De Boer of Boston and his niece Jeneen De Boer of Brick.

      Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:30 am from the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River followed by a 9 am mass at Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in South River with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Sayreville. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
