Thomas Lennie came from Edinburg, SCT in 1864 at the age of 14. It was
believed that he came to Canada because of a dispute with his uncle.
The story is that Thomas needed some money, so he went to his uncle who
called him names, but at last he was willing to give Thomas the money.
But, Thomas, whose pride was understandably hurt, refused to take it.
The story goes that Thomas Lennie then stowed away aboard a boat that
was headed for Canada.
Thomas married Ephrosine EMAUD/Emond. This was the beginning of the
Lennie caln in Canada. They settled in St Boniface, MB where they were
blessed with 9 children.
